We celebrated seven years of marriage here and happened to get the room called 'Seventh Heaven'. It lived up to the name: spacious, beautiful and comfortable. The bed was great, the room really quiet, and I slept like a baby. Staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting us warmly when we returned. I'd stay again if I came back to Den Bosch.

A nice concept, and I'd recommend the top floor rooms. The building doesn't have air conditioning, but those rooms have windows on two sides. The back terrace has a lovely atmosphere, and that's where you can also have the quite good breakfast.

The garden is spacious, well kept and a lovely place to spend time. You'd hardly think you were in the middle of the city. It's one of the things that makes this hotel a hidden gem, about a ten minute walk from the Old Town centre. The staff are very cordial and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with their own air conditioning and heating, plus plenty of plugs for electronics or an electric bike charger. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh bread and delicious croissants. There's also an interesting story behind the building and its name. De Soete Moeder means Sweet Mother Mary, patroness of ‘s-Hertogenbosch and the Nemiusklooster convent, built in 1928-1929. The nuns lived there for 75 years and cared for and educated people in the convent and surrounding neighbourhood. The original complex included a church, a home for the elderly, a vicarage, a patronage building, and girls’ and nursery schools. De Soete Moeder is no longer a religious institute. It carries on the Sisters of Love's social commitment in a new way, as a monastery hotel supporting vulnerable young people. Its mission is to give job-seekers, school dropouts and students seeking work placements a chance to learn and gain work experience. Founders Adri and Eline have taken over the nuns' social and civic role. It's more than a special place for guests to enjoy. Excellent stay, highly recommended.

The location is great, with the city centre an easy walk away, and the staff were friendly. The rooms are quite small. There's no fridge, and the TV isn't connected to the internet, so you can't use Netflix or even YouTube.

Really clean and comfortable, with a beautiful garden. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the location is fantastic for getting to the city centre. Highly recommend!
