Our weekend ended up being tied to a very special memory, our engagement, and we’d happily return. We came to visit Keukenhof and found plenty of help choosing from the many leisure activities nearby. Maureen gave us thoughtful advice and made sure my friend’s and my food allergies were taken care of promptly at the excellent breakfast. The room was immaculate, the beds really comfortable, and we were warmly welcomed. We’d first needed to change our booking because of a corona case in the family, and Maureen made that easy. She’s a very accommodating, dedicated host.

Maureen was so attentive that we rebooked for early January before we’d even left, after staying over Christmas. The breakfast basket was waiting in the shared corridor by the fridge, and breakfast itself was generous, with rolls, fruit, juice, fresh coffee, boiled eggs, cold cuts and even hagelslag. The converted stable feels like your own place, with the bedroom and very comfortable bed upstairs. Downstairs there’s a dining table and sitting area, plus a spotless shower room. It’s tastefully decorated, and this B&B really gets both Bs right.

We were able to set off cycling right from the accommodation, after trying out the new rental bikes, which were excellent. Maureen gave us a warm welcome and lots of helpful information and suggestions. The room was clean, thoughtfully laid out, and furnished with care. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and more than enough. It was a lovely short getaway for us. Many thanks to Maureen and her family for making it such a nice time.
