The rooms and building were clean, modern, and really nice, with a beautiful new bathroom, comfortable beds, and a lovely view from the windows, rain and all. The location is beautiful, and we'd definitely come back. Most of the service was handled by phone. That worked fine, though it took some getting used to since there was no reception. Breakfast was the one unclear part: we weren't sure where to go, and the people there were busy in the kitchen. Once we asked, it was sorted out, and everything else went smoothly.

The hotel is well placed near the town center, with plenty to do nearby. It runs mostly online, so there usually isn't staff around and things are handled by phone and CCTV. The staff in the breakfast room were friendly.

A short 1 Mon walk gets you to town. The building has lots of atmosphere, the room was gorgeous and very clean, and breakfast was fantastic, with good gluten-free choices. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Schagen is a lovely little city to explore. The hotel itself is very nice, set in a castle, with newly renovated, well-kept rooms. Breakfast options are limited, but that's not the reason to come here.

I had a really nice stay. The rooms were in perfect, like-new condition, the service was nice, and the breakfasts were great. It's close to the market too. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling.
