Hogenboom Vakantiepark Herperduin

Everything was clean when we got there, and the beds were pretty good. A lovely little cottage, though guests staying longer than two days could use more dishwashing supplies and materials.

My kids were busy all day at the speelbos in Herperduin. The park itself is vehicle-free, has Wi-Fi throughout, a small grocery store and bike rentals. In early June it wasn't very busy, and the bungalows are spaced well apart even if the park gets busier. For Americans who don't know Dutch resorts, bring your own paper products and towels; you can rent bedding. Having laundry on site was a bonus. Schaijk's Jumbo and Albert Heijn are an 8-10 minute bike ride away.

The bungalows were old, poorly maintained and very dirty, and the staff treated clients with contempt and disrespect. They changed reservations as they pleased without telling the client. This is the most disgusting campsite I've ever stayed at. If you want your vacation ruined, this is the place.

The area seems like it would be very quiet, but the network at Holiday Park Herperduin is one of the worst I've come across. The signal is poor around the park and the connection is often down, so people on holiday who need internet will keep running into problems logging into their favorite websites.
