Tucked towards the back of town, the hotel is quiet, but the village is small enough that you can walk to it in about 30 seconds. Our room was clean and nice, the staff were accommodating and wonderful, and we enjoyed the included breakfast. Great location.

From the starter through to dessert, everything was very, very delicious. The flavours and spices were well balanced, and the plates looked great. Kind service and a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.

For our last dinner on Schiermonnikoog, we chose this simple, pleasant brasserie-style place. We had fish for the main course, Dover sole and halibut with langoustines. Portions were generous, the service impeccable, and the meal was good value. We hadn’t booked and were lucky to get the last available table, so I’d recommend reserving.

The rooms were comfortable, with nice interior design and a great hot shower. The hotel is perfectly placed for the village, and there’s a really nice restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast, both delicious, and the staff were friendly. We borrowed bikes too and had a great day exploring the island.
