Hoeve Kroonen

A great place for walking and cycling, and close to Valkenburg. The campsite is lovely and quiet, with good sanitary facilities. It’s not suitable for children, but otherwise a great spot.

The pitches are beautiful and spacious, and we had a wonderful time camping with our dog. It’s a fantastic base for walks, bike rides, or trips to the city. There’s a bakery and a restaurant with a terrace within walking distance, and Valkenburg is just 10 minutes away by bike.

The owner was very service-minded and easy to reach, and we had a pleasant stay. Respect to him for turning his family home into such a beautiful place. We stayed in one of the two wheelchair-accessible apartments. It was large and spacious, with a big bathroom and enough room in the living area for an adapted bed. The main road runs right in front of the farm, which makes it easy to get out and about, but you do have to put up with some noise from tractors and the like.

The Geuldal, Valkenburg, Maastricht, and the South Limburg valley landscape are all monuments. Don’t forget Brother Venanzius. It’s a beautiful, wonderful place to stay, with clean, good sanitary facilities. A tip for the manager: grass pavers at the transition between field 1 and field 2 might help with the mud when it rains.
