Strandhotel Camperduin

Breakfast was really good, and I was glad they even had vegan croissants :). The staff were super friendly and spoke English easily, which made us feel welcome. It’s a lovely spot close to the sea.

You can book the business meeting facilities for a reasonable price, and the staff were very helpful. We also liked the unusual app based room access, with no key card needed. The hotel is well maintained and has good facilities, and the restaurant near the beach served tasty food with good options. A great place for a calm, relaxed break.

The location and views were great, and at first we were very happy with our stay. The family room was spacious and newly renovated, with air conditioning and a luxurious bathroom. But after checking out following just one night, we noticed that my toddler, who slept in a separate baby bed, had been bitten all over by bed bugs. I called the hotel to let them know. They thanked me and hung up, and seemed hardly bothered. That response is why I’ve rated the stay lower.

The restaurant on site is pricey for regular folks, so eat beforehand or bring some snacks. Also, the walls are extremely thin, and people come to have loud parties without much regard for nearby guests. If you’re there to party too, I guess it won’t be a problem. Party on Wayne, party on garth. Sleep might be hard to come by otherwise.
