Villa de Hazelaar

A peaceful getaway with a homey feel. Hotel Villa de Hazelaar has a warm atmosphere, comfortable, well-kept rooms, and staff who are exceptionally friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfast, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely renovated room with a beautifully decorated bathroom, and the accommodation itself is very attractive. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there’s a pleasant garden to sit in. Breakfast included fresh fruit and was delicious. You can head straight out for a walk or bike ride from here, so it’s ideal for either. The one drawback was hearing the neighbors through the room walls, which was a shame.

The studio was so spacious, tastefully furnished, and spotless, with a quiet panoramic view. Schoorl is within walking distance. When we arrived, Ans welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of information about the area. She also made delicious breakfasts and was always ready to help. We really admire how she looks after guests throughout their stay. We spent time in the stylish, warmly decorated shared spaces, especially the lounge. We’d sit there with cappuccino or tea, music playing, and sometimes use the record player and LPs. The sun on our faces and that beautiful view made it a lovely place to linger. We had wonderful days at Villa de Hazelaar and would love to return. Thanks, Ans, for everything!

The common area had a treat I could enjoy any time, what I think was the best latte macchiato ever, and there was fresh fruit each day too. Handy when you’re out exploring the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was excellent and clearly prepared with care. We’ve never had a room this clean. Ans is a dedicated, fantastic hostess, and she made us feel truly welcome and appreciated. We had such wonderful days here. We’re already homesick.
