Hotel Empire

The room was large, with a comfortable sofa bed for our 15-year-old. He's quite picky, but slept well and said it was comfy. The hotel had modern amenities, and the room sizes and location were excellent, despite the mixed reviews I'd read. We booked a self-catering package holiday with EasyJet and made our own way from the airport. Several main city tram lines, including 1 and 11, serve the area, and the beach is under a ten-minute stroll away. The hotel is on a beautiful high street full of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. We'd recommend Folia for pizza. We'll definitely come back.

We loved opening the doors with our phones, no card or key needed. Breakfast at Nik’s is highly recommended, and restaurants are right beside and across from the hotel entrance. The pier and Scheveningen's tourist center are an easy stroll along the boulevard. The apartment and hotel were wonderful. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the beds were great, and we slept like babies. The room stayed nice and dark at night thanks to the curtains, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We'd absolutely recommend it.

A very nice stay for a great price. The room was spacious, clean, and fully equipped, with a living area, kitchenette, and bathroom. The virtual assistant and phone-based digital key were bold, helpful, and easy to use.

The space worked well for our family of five, and the staff were welcoming. Ocean house is in a prime spot, two minutes from the beach and three from a grocery store, with restaurants right outside. We'd recommend it and would return. One thing to know: on Saturday night, the restaurant bar out front stays open until midnight and gets loud. Our large family room faced the front, but the noise didn't keep the kids up.
