It’s an older building, with no elevator and rather curved stairs, and there’s no air conditioning. That may surprise visitors from North America. We had a very pleasant stay in June 2026, though. The owner was delightfully quirky, and the location worked very well for us. A tram stop is right next door, and many restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. Otherwise, no issues.

The owner is friendly and easygoing, and the rooms are very nice, with a touch of classic luxury hotel style. The location is between Scheveningen and the centre of The Hague, so public transport gets you in either direction in about 10-15 minutes. Nothing to complain about, highly recommended.

The room is on the small side, like the other houses down the street, but it’s comfy, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was perfect, and I even had sunshine-yellow towels. The host is incredibly kind and caring, which gives the hotel a welcoming, personal, home-like feel. There’s a tram and bus right outside, a cute bakery downstairs on the corner, shops and restaurants along the street, and the beach is walkable. The lively city centre is just a few tram stops away. I could go on and on, I recommend it!

We spent three nights and loved it. The room on the second floor was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the owner was lovely and cooperative. The location suited our needs well.

The tram stop is right in front of the hotel, and the atmosphere is very cozy. We had comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The drawbacks are that there’s no air conditioning and check-in has to be before 21:00.
