We stayed in a chalet, so it didn't really feel like a B&B. It was a calm, quiet holiday apartment area, though quite a bit away from central Amsterdam. The place had a cosy, romantic feel, and the bed was comfortable enough for one night. Planes kept flying overhead from early morning, probably because the airport is so close.

The owners are sweet and helpful, and we really enjoyed how peaceful it was. Even though it's near Schiphol Airport, the place is quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The bed is big and comfortable, and having a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, and microwave was handy. Jumbo is nearby too, so it's easy to pick up food and eat in. The space feels cosy and atmospheric, almost like camping, with little room and a very cramped bathroom. You need to be comfortable sharing close quarters and have a sense of humor. We thought the price for what you get was only middling, though that may be because of the location. Bring hooks for bags and coats. The dining table is high, but that's fine unless you're elderly, inflexible, or disabled.

The area is lovely for cycling, and there are some really good restaurants nearby. We had a beautiful apartment all to ourselves, with an outdoor seating space too. Ron and Bianca were so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would highly recommend it.
