BUNK Hotel Utrecht

The shared areas have a lively, inspiring feel, with good food and drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the location is handy for both the center and the station. Bunk Hotel Utrecht has loads of character in its former church setting, with modern, smart design. The rooms are compact but comfortable, and the details feel well considered. Definitely a different sort of hotel, and I’d recommend it.

Breakfast was delicious, I had banana bread and ginger-orange tea, and the service was great. The staff were friendly and hospitable, too. Check-in is self-service, which worked nicely. I stayed in the basic room for two, room 102. It’s small but functional, with a big comfortable bed, TV, good lighting, and it gets dark at night. The shower has no door, so the bathroom gets wet; one towel had a stain, and the room was a bit noisy. The location is beautiful and close to the train station and Hoog Catherijne mall. It’s also a good choice for a concert at Tivolivredenburg. I’d definitely recommend it to a solo traveler looking for a budget-friendly Utrecht stay.

The design and decor are distinctive, and the location is great. The room is very small, exactly as described, though. Two people can’t stand in it at once, and with a large suitcase you may have to leave it outside by your door.

We loved our two nights at Bunk for the Harry Styles concert. The overall atmosphere was great, and the staff were really friendly. The rooms are on the small side, but they have what you need to be comfortable. Self check-in was quick and easy.
