My only gentle suggestion for management is that the bedside lights don’t need hospital-bright fluorescent bulbs. Otherwise, everything was fine, standard Ibis with no complaints. The staff were great. The location is just outside the center, but still close enough to get there by bus or on foot.

It generally does what it says on the tin. The IBIS is a decent, basic hotel with comfortable beds and a clean, functional bathroom. There’s no coffee or tea making equipment in the room, and the weekend restaurant menu was very limited, which was disappointing. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The morning staff were helpful, but by then the stay had already gone badly. We weren’t told the building was under construction, and our window basically looked straight onto scaffolding. We’d noted on the reservation that we had a baby and a dog, but they forgot to put a bed in the room. When we asked, they said none were available and that we should have told them earlier. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly when we arrived, and the night staff weren’t particularly nice or helpful. It wasn’t cheap, either. I’d avoid this place.

The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good range of choices, and the location made getting public transport easy. I had a pleasant stay overall. One annoyance was the shower tray draining poorly. Also, room cleaning only starts after three nights. It’d be more convenient if rooms were cleaned every two nights. Even so, it was good value, and I’d recommend it.
