Suite LOOF

This is a good spot for a quick drink, but not if you need a fast meal. The food itself was good, though nothing special, and after waiting almost an hour it didn't feel worth it. Keep the long wait in mind, especially if you're already very hungry. Take it slow and steady seems to fit this place.

Prices are fair, particularly for the location, and the simple, cozy interior makes Loof in Utrecht a pleasant enough place for a drink or a bite. The service could have been more on top of things, though. They got my order wrong, and there seemed to be some confusion among the staff. Nothing went badly wrong, but the experience felt less smooth than it should have.

The food we had was good, but the service really let the meal down. We waited an hour for our main dishes after finishing the appetizers. We think the server forgot to send our order in, especially since people seated an hour after us got their mains 20 minutes before we did. When we said she might have missed the order, she denied it and just asked whether it tasted good. She also ignored that my friend had empty glasses in front of him. With service that poor, they could have offered drinks, dessert, a discount, or at least made sure things improved, but they didn't. One food suggestion: add feta to the Coban salad.

Really good restaurant. Even the older kids were allowed to have lollipops.
