Hotel Riche

My friends and I stayed here as part of a bus tour, and had a perfect experience. The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were better than I’d imagined. I liked the wooden floors in the rooms, and the mattress was very soft. Breakfast was simple and delicious. It couldn’t have been better!

We checked availability on booking.com today and saw one triple room listed, with pets accepted, so we asked for it at the desk. The receptionist spoke to the boss and then said the room wasn’t available. As she was telling us this, she was blocking the room in booking.com’s extranet. I work in the hotel industry and recognized the system. It’s regrettable for a hotel professional to act this way, and to have misleading, fraudulent advertising on booking.com. We’ll inform booking.com about what happened.

We were made to feel very welcome during our four night stay and New Year’s Eve party. Management were friendly, and the staff seemed happy in their jobs. The meals were excellent, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. They were basic, but had everything we needed. Thanks to everyone for a special start to the New Year. I’d definitely stay again.

The staff were polite and very nice, and the hotel was clean. Breakfast had a really nice continental selection. We’d stopped at Hotel Riche for a sleep while driving across Europe, and it worked well for us. It was a bit cold in the room because we couldn’t work out the funny remote for the electric radiator and ended up turning it off. It didn’t bother us, but if you want a warm room, ask staff to set the radiators or get an extra blanket from reception. For a three star hotel, we had nothing to complain about, and we’d come back if we need a rest on another drive across Europe. Thanks for the hospitality!
