The location is good, and room 9 had been renovated, which was perfect. The other rooms are badly in need of an update. The food and service are about what you'd expect from a hotel-restaurant. The tosti’s, salad, and crokets were good.

The service was friendly and the location is great, and the other plates we saw looked pretty good. Still, what we ordered was disappointing for the premium prices. The €6.50 waffle with cream was cold, stale, crunchy, and tasteless. The Aperol spritz was very bitter, as if it was missing the Prosecco. Maybe we just picked the wrong things.

We stopped for a light meal and drinks on the terrace. It was a nice place, though a bit too busy for the waiters, who did their best to look after everyone.

The place itself is charming, but they shut the kitchen at 8 pm, right in the middle of vacation season. We left and ended up eating fast food, which wasn't a nice way to finish the evening. Strange, to say the least. Why do that?

The terrace gets plenty of sun, but I found the food awful. The bisque tasted like water with just a little shrimp, and cost 15 euro. The French fries smelled of oil and tasted burnt. The Chefs burger van Hoeve Rapenburg felt like a frozen one from Makro. At least it came with a sharp knife. I should've checked the ratings before ordering.
