The staff were the best part for me. They were welcoming, called me by my first name right away, and were flexible about payment. The rooms themselves are small and basic, with poor soundproofing, so noise from the bar downstairs carries clearly. The bathroom and toilets are shared along the hallway: six rooms share two showers in one room and a separate room with a shower and toilet. It seems mainly set up for working men, and I’d give the amenities only two stars. Fine for a night or two on a work trip, but I wouldn’t choose it for personal travel.

We booked a room while visiting Amsterdam. The people were nice and relaxed, and the place worked well for us since we only needed somewhere to sleep. It’s not the newest hotel. The owner called us a cab and asked if we wanted to smoke around the corner, which was fine.

The room was really small, and the Wi-Fi in it wasn’t working properly. It’s quite far from the city. The surrounding area is beautiful, though, and that’s about the only thing I liked.

Good value and a great place. The service is simple and down to earth, and really, what more do you need?

It wasn’t clean in some spots, and the blankets need replacing. The place needs a full renovation. Shame.
