The room was compact, but clean and well cared for, and the manager at reception was friendly and efficient. It had a fridge, microwave, TV and Wi-Fi, which made it handy for a short work stay or a night away. I booked because I didn't want to drive back to Rotterdam and return for work the next morning. At €30 a night, I expected a rather grim old place, so I was pleasantly surprised. It's basic, not a five-star hotel, but very good value.

We stayed in a good hotel in a lovely city, but the noise from next door was a problem. A man watched TV for half the night and talked on the phone, and it felt like he was right there in our room.

The property says it welcomes pets, but they rejected our request to bring our family cat because the owner had one bad experience in the past. Our cat is an emotional support animal, and we can't travel without it. The landlord wouldn't hear us out about why we needed the cat. I've never stayed there and never will. There was no empathy or hospitality. I'd look elsewhere. Service: 0/10.

The manager seemed like a nice guy, which makes me sorry to leave this review. But this was the worst place I've stayed during two months of holiday. The second-floor window opens straight onto the walkway, so it gets loud, and smoke from people out there comes inside. The Wi-Fi on that floor was practically useless.
