The sea is right out front, though the beach there isn't particularly nice. The front of the building is under construction, so the ground floor doesn't look great. We stayed for a weekend, and the room was very clean. I also loved that it's dog-friendly. Staff were friendly, but the hotel seemed understaffed compared with the restaurant. Amenities were very limited, and there was no room service, either. We asked for room sandals and were told they didn't have any. For a four-star place, I think they should at least have sandals available on request, especially since it's dog-friendly. I'd still recommend it, but hope they add more amenities in future.

The renovated hotel looks very nice, but our room wasn't clean enough. There were small black marks on the bed sheets that looked like blood stains, which made us think the room hadn't been cleaned properly. On our last day, breakfast wasn't included, but we were happy to pay for it and arrived around 11 a.m. The waitress politely checked with the kitchen and confirmed breakfast was still being served. Then the manager came over and told us to leave the table, with no understanding or consideration. He said lunch started at 1:30 p.m. and everything had to be ready by then, and that breakfast at that hour was “not possible” and we shouldn't have asked. He offered no alternative or attempt at a solution, just made us leave. We found that treatment unacceptable and very disappointing.

The bed was good, and the hotel looks very nice inside. The staff were friendly too. But the faucet was broken, the showerhead holder was loose, and although having two chairs was good, neither was comfortable for more than five minutes. For the price, the quality wasn't up to par, especially in the low season in January.

We loved the room service and the view, and the staff were great and nice. Amazing stay at this hôtel! I'd recommend it, but the city is smaller than you might think. You should take the train to middleburg.

The room was laid out smartly, and the hotel is clean with friendly staff. I love the breakfast concept. Worth the visit and the money.
