The staff were so friendly and helpful, and spoke English really well, which made everything easy. I also found the hotel clean and well cared for, and the price felt like a fantastic deal. Our room was cozy, with lovely decor and a spacious balcony looking out over the sea. It was a great spot for coffee in the morning or watching the sunset. The large modern shower was a nice extra. This place will always mean a lot to me because my boyfriend proposed here. It was a magical moment in a perfect setting, and I’ll never forget it. I’d definitely return and recommend it for a comfortable, affordable seaside stay.

Breakfast was better than I expected, with fresh fruit, warm bread, several cheeses, and scrambled eggs with bacon cooked to order and brought straight from the pan. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The hotel-restaurant sits right by the sea, though the area felt residential. There were plenty of restaurants, takeaways, and shops about a 500 m walk away. Our room was large and well equipped, including a Smart TV that connected to a phone for streaming. It was very clean throughout, even the coffee water heater, which is often neglected elsewhere. The sea views were incredible, and the place felt comfortable and cozy.

At Solskin restaurant in Vlissingen, we had to ask several times for a menu and still weren’t brought one. The staff seemed inattentive, and the wait and lack of service left us with time to order and drink just one beverage. That made the whole visit very negative. I was disappointed by the service and wouldn’t recommend the restaurant.

The restaurant food was tasty and simple, not fancy. I’d recommend the fish soup, it had a comforting, homey feel. The sea-view room was clean, tidy, and spacious enough, and you could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It’s a charming little family-run place, really a restaurant with a few rooms upstairs. The staff were very friendly. I assume the woman in charge was the owner.
