Volendam is lovely and deserves at least a full day. There are lots of little shops and restaurants, plus a beautiful harbor. From Noemies pension, it's a 45-minute bus ride to Amsterdam city, and buses run until 4 at night, so getting back wasn't a problem. A three-day ticket covering bus, S Bahn, U Bahn, train, and more cost 33,50€. The pension was clean and comfortable, and staying there was the best decision we made. The owners were very friendly and gave us lots of tips. They even called a taxi to the airport for us late in the evening and were very considerate. Everything was perfect, and we'd recommend the pension and this lovely city to others. Thank you for everything!

The guesthouse is right in the center, close to the harbor, and the square outside has a lively market on Saturdays. We spent three wonderful days in Volendam. Everything was very clean, and the people were very friendly.

The town is beautiful and the rooms are clean, but there's barely enough room for two people to move around. There's no kitchen or cups in the room, and the whole hostel has just one bathroom. At 10 pm the owners come by and say they're going to bed, so you're expected to talk in a whisper. Parking is another big downside. The available spots are either overnight only or expensive paid parking that operates during the day. The paid lot's information sheet says it isn't responsible for the car, so you leave it at your own risk.

The hosts were friendly and everything was very clean. Wi-Fi and parking were the only things I'd complain about. Otherwise, I'd gladly come back.
