Nordseka The Hague Voorburg Hotel

It was easy to travel in either direction, since the hotel sits between The Hague and Delft and has public transport close by. The location is central and very practical. I found the staff friendly and ready to help whenever needed, and my stay was comfortable.

Breakfast was the letdown during my five nights there. It was just cold cuts, cheese, bread and chilled boiled eggs, with no cereal or cooked option, and it cost quite a lot. The bedroom and the other facilities were comfortable and good, though.

The rooms were nice apart from the cleanliness issue. When we arrived with another pair, our room wasn't clean and we were asked to switch. The receptionist wasn't rude, though I would have liked them to be more approachable.

While I was on the phone with my friend, the front desk worker, Alex, banged aggressively on her door early in the morning and told her she had five minutes to leave. She had already extended her stay through Monday. I could hear how rude and aggressive he was, and my friend was very upset by the whole thing. She tried to raise it with management, but the district manager, Elko, was just as dismissive, rude and unhelpful. I wasn't there in person, but I heard the situation unfold over the phone and was shocked by how unprofessional the staff were. It felt as though no one had training in customer service or basic respect. If being treated decently matters to you, I'd avoid Hotel Nordseka.
