We spent a memorable long weekend walking around the Veluwe, then came back to a cozy living room and a very comfortable bed. Huize Florinata is a lovely fit for two, with a large garden and a beautiful terrace. The house has been renovated down to the smallest detail and furnished with real taste, keeping its Amsterdam School style. The owner gave us a wonderfully warm welcome. Everything was spotless, the bathroom is spacious and modern, and the old-style kitchen and utility room come equipped with modern appliances.

Suzanne welcomed us and walked us through everything, including a little history of the house. We even got to read excerpts from guest books dating from the 1940s to the 1960s. The welcome groceries included bread, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, butter, jam, coffee, tea, eggs, orange juice and plenty more. There were fresh flowers in the living room and a sweet little surprise, too. The old house paired beautifully with the modern furnishings, and it was spotless and stocked with everything we needed, from towels, dishes, utensils and spices to shower gel, soap and body lotion. Two bicycles were available as well. We loved breakfast in the garden and watching the birds and squirrels, plus bats in the evening. It was too cold for us to use the garden pavilion, though it looked like a lovely place to sit. We felt very at home and had a fantastic stay. Thanks for having us!

The welcome made an already lovely place feel even more special. I fell for the house as soon as I arrived, and honestly, I can't find the words for how nice it is to stay here.
