We stayed with family, and only did so because we had no other choice at the time. The rooms were in poor condition for the price: the furniture was very outdated, the bathroom smelled unpleasant, and cleanliness fell short of expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay. The hotel is peaceful, near a beautiful forest, and about an hour from Amsterdam, so it works well for nature lovers and people wanting to explore the city. Our room was clean, cozy, and well kept. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had plenty of choice with fresh seasonal ingredients. A charming hotel, highly recommended.

The peaceful setting in the forest and plenty of parking were a plus. I’d recommend getting there by car. Maybe it was just a run of bad luck: the room was said to be ready but wasn’t, and there was only one towel. At dinner, we waited unnecessarily for the waiter, and the steak I ordered English came out dry, which wasn’t good. The bright spot was breakfast: they made extra gluten-free bread for me.

The location suited me, tucked away beside the forest, and I had a good time riding the bike I rented there for €15 a day. My room was clean and roomy. Still, the hotel feels and smells old, and the beds were much too soft for me. I won't come back because of the smell and the bed quality.

The prices are outrageous for what you get, and the food was nothing special. Over two nights, we were served the same two dishes. The hotel feels as if it hasn't been updated in ages: old carpets, broken lights and furniture, windows that don't close properly, dirty wallpaper, peeling ceiling plaster, dust and cobwebs everywhere. It doesn't seem like anyone takes much care to keep the place clean and pleasant. I don't think it deserves four stars, and I can't recommend it.
