Hotel Rosveld

The bathroom was lovely, with a strong shower and a separate toilet. We liked having USB plugs, and the bed was two singles pushed together with separate single covers. The room had pleasant mood lighting and did the trick, though it felt dark enough that we needed a big light to see things. We didn’t eat there because we were spending time with friends and family. The women at the desks were lovely, very friendly and always smiling, but the gentleman came across as rude and unfriendly whenever we saw him.

The rooms were nice. It was a bit odd not to have a sink near the toilet.

The breakfast manager made us feel really unwelcome. He was wearing a blue shirt, and kept watching us and speaking rudely to my dad when he went down around 9:00 AM, before breakfast ended at 10:00 AM. He also talked to the other employees about when we arrived and other things, apparently so we would hear, and said something whenever we passed. I came down later, at 9:50 AM, with my baby. He stared at us and scrutinized everything I put on my plate, which was incredibly uncomfortable. Then, just after 10:00 AM, my dad went to get a coffee and the manager pointed out rudely that it was 10:05 AM. He even accused us of not having a room. We told him we had two rooms, but instead of asking which rooms, he jumped to the conclusion that we were lying and didn't belong there. Another guest got coffee at 10:30-‘ and no one said anything to her. He kept making comments like, "First, there was one person, then two, and now magically three people?" It’s shocking to have someone so rude and unprofessional dealing with guests. He could have simply checked our room numbers instead of assuming we were sneaking in. I won't come back or recommend this hotel. Management needs to reconsider how guests are treated.

The bar had a good atmosphere in the evening, and breakfast was really good too. Nice, clean hotel with a good atmosphere.
