The food options at dinner and breakfast were good, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We stopped here on the way to Germany, and the adjoining family rooms worked perfectly for two adults and two teenagers.

The complimentary breakfast was nice, and I was happy to see the staff's smiling faces. The people were very pleasant and the service was good.

We picked this hotel as a treat during a two-week trip around Europe, but I've had much more restful nights at basic hotels costing half as much. The location was handy as a base for Efteling, about a 30-minute drive away. There's a large free car park and a small supermarket two minutes' walk away. We stayed two nights over Easter, my wife, toddler and me. Our ground-floor room was very large and nicely decorated. There are also rooms on the basement level, where the view seems to be a retaining wall, and on the first floor. The hotel was extremely noisy, though. The foyer and restaurant open onto the main ground-floor corridor without anything to contain the sound. Room doors slam loudly enough to make our bathroom door rattle, and we could hear every step from the upstairs neighbour. Our toddler still calls it the “noisy hotel.” We also found unpleasant stains on a towel that was supposed to be fresh. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. My burger came out medium, which I hadn't expected. I would have asked for it cooked through if I'd known. Some people may like it that way, but asking customers about their preference would solve the problem. I used the gym one morning. For some reason it only opens from 7 a.m. It's adequate, with a multigym, several barbells and kettlebells, and some cardio equipment. We left disappointed after having looked forward to the stay.

We didn't hear any other guests during our stay, and the rooms are spacious and quiet. A really lovely hotel, I'd definitely stay again.
