Hoeve Altena Apartment

A really lovely, cozy house with a homey feel. The terrace and the surrounding nature were great. The old city is an easy walk away, with a nice windmill, beautiful houses, and fantastic restaurants nearby.

This is an excellent base if you’re into cycling. There are three choices: an apartment, a two-bed cottage, or the one-bedroom guesthouse we stayed in. The accommodation was really well equipped and cleverly laid out to make good use of the small space. We also had a private courtyard with sunny and shady spots to sit, plus room to store our bikes. With dedicated parking, shops nearby, and cycle routes, the location worked perfectly.

We stayed one night at Hoeve Altena and loved it. The Tiny House has a cozy living area, a separate bedroom and bathroom, and a small kitchen packed with useful things: a dishwasher, oven, electric stove, fridge, and coffee and tea making appliances. It’s compact, but they’ve fitted in a lot. There are two supermarkets just a few minutes’ walk away, which would be handy for a longer stay. The owners were lovely and suggested lots of places to visit nearby. Outside, there’s a terrace with two places to sit and relax, and room to BBQ. Breakfast was wonderful too, with fresh bread, cold cuts, eggs, fresh juice, and yoghurt. I’d definitely recommend staying here! 👌

The premises were fantastic and the service excellent. I’d gladly come back.
