B&B In de Oude Smederij Zaltbommel

Had a good time here. Nice place, and the people are nice too!

Being close to the city center was a real plus, and the welcome was warm and friendly. I got good dinner advice too. It’s a great B&B, though I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday: with someone staying in the loft above, I could hear every movement, the creaky floor, and their shower and toilet. For a business stay it was fine. Breakfast was okay, and I’m not sure the price quite matches what you get. The downstairs “tiny house” is spacious, but rather dark. Keep the steps in mind if walking is difficult. One suggestion: a shower screen would be better than the curtain, which kept sticking to me despite the roomy bathroom.

We stopped here for one night while cycling through. The owners were friendly and easy to talk to, and they kindly let us keep our bikes in the storage room. The village is lovely, with the center and a supermarket nearby. Everything else was perfectly fine, though cleanliness could have been better and the shower didn’t look very clean. Thanks for having us!

The ships passing between the buildings were a nice thing to see. I had plenty of room in the neat loft, a large comfortable bed, and a very generous breakfast. It was a great place to stay overnight, and they even let me keep my bike inside where it stayed dry.
