The service is great, and there’s free wifi, access to an outdoor balcony area, plus coffee and tea. It’s a handy base for a holiday or sightseeing, with the beach a 10-15 minute walk away. The rooms are small and the stairs are steep, so it won’t work well for wheelchair users, older people, or anyone with a disability. I’d recommend it if you’ll be out exploring most of the time rather than staying indoors all day.

The room was small but very clean. You’re close to the train station, the grocery store, and town, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to Amsterdam Central Station by train. There are steps, which could make access difficult for some people, as is common in much of Europe.

The stairs were very narrow and steep, and I didn’t feel safe using them. I chose not to stay because the bathroom and toilet weren’t attached to the room. I wish I’d known both of those things before booking.
