There’s a lovely garden with seats outside, perfect for morning coffee. The apartment was clean and well cared for, with a fully equipped kitchen, free coffee and tea, two bedrooms and a couch, so up to five people can stay. The owners were incredibly friendly and greeted us with a smile and a pack of Stroopwafels. We stayed there last year and are going back in June, to the same apartment again. :)

Parking the car was a big problem, and getting around by public transport may be difficult too. The apartment was cozy and fairly well maintained, with a well-equipped kitchen. A laundry dryer would have been useful.

The apartment is small but very well put together, and renting it was straightforward. The landlord, a private individual, was very friendly. We could walk to the beach, dog park, promenade and city center in about 5-10 minutes, and the bus stop was no more than five minutes away. A family day ticket for €14 got us to Amsterdam city center in around 50 minutes. The canal cruise is well worth it. There are lots of restaurants and cafes along the beach, and in the off-season there was plenty of parking along the promenade. I expect it gets very crowded in peak season. We also drove about half an hour to De Bazaar, the largest covered flea market, which is definitely worth a visit. Our route took us over the Nijmegen Bridge and Arnhem Bridge, and on the way back we used the causeway that goes straight across the IJsselmeer via the N302. Lelystad also has a large outlet center. Highly recommended!

The surroundings are beautiful, with the beach, race track, a cozy shopping center with restaurants, dunes and the water supply area all nearby. The apartment is compact and cozy inside. We got a warm welcome with welcome gifts, and the children even received more gifts when we left.
