Het Pauwtje

We spent five days here and fell a little in love with "Het Pauwtje" and the beautiful Zoutelande area. The setting is so quiet and green, yet the beach and town are each no more than a five-minute walk away. You could hardly find a better place to stay, and we’d love to return soon. The owner welcomed us warmly, and that kindness continued throughout our stay. There were fresh eggs from the owner’s chickens and grapes from the garden. Guests could help themselves to drinks in a shared fridge and leave payment in the cash box. Our apartment was stylish and very well furnished. We slept wonderfully, thanks to the great mattress. The bathroom was creatively done, with two separate sinks, a freestanding bath and a level-access shower. The private sauna in room no. 43 was the highlight: it warmed up quickly and had plenty of room for two, right across from the bed. Each unit has its own parking space in front of the house. There’s seating in the small front garden for breakfast outside when the weather’s nice, and the lovely turtle pond is another relaxing place to sit. The property has three studios and the beach house.

Room 43 has everything we needed, including a kitchenette for breakfast, a comfortable bed with lovely pillows, and a beautiful bathroom with a bath and separate luxury shower. It’s spacious and charming, with atmospheric decor and quality in every detail. The real sauna in the room was the icing on the cake. This is an exceptionally beautiful, luxurious Bed & Breakfast, spotlessly clean and very well maintained, a little paradise for relaxing. It’s peacefully located a short distance from the charming village center and the beautiful beach behind the dunes. It’s the best place we’ve stayed in for years, and we’ll definitely be back!

The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, and the beach and village are both close by. We’d love to come back every year 😁 PS: Try booking the room with the sauna. It’s lovely for relaxing after a day of fresh air on the beach.

A great apartment for a short trip, furnished with lots of care and very comfortable. We didn’t find anything missing.
