So calm and lovely here, with beautiful countryside and a great hostel. The rooms are clean and really unique, and she’s such a sweet host. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, with loads of homemade things and so much care put into it. If we come back to the Netherlands, I’d stay here again. Hope it stays just like this.

The kids had a blast with the go-carts and animals in the yard, while the adults got a bit of well-earned downtime. We also joined the guided tour, which was really interesting, and the children even got a short tractor ride. They’ll remember that for a long time. We had a lovely midweek family stay, with a warm welcome, excellent beds, and a comfortable cottage. The modern bathrooms had plenty of good showers and toilets. Highly recommended for families.

Meppel is a lovely historic town, and there’s plenty of countryside nearby for walking, cycling, and other outings. We stayed in the farm’s group accommodation. The bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent. The kitchen in the main building felt a little small for a large group, though the kitchen in the neighboring accommodation might be available to use.

Such a peaceful spot, with nature all around and cows nearby. Shame the cows aren’t much for conversation. ;)

The farm visit was a lovely extra. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind, and it works really well for families.
