The restaurant looks out over the lake, and both dinner and breakfast were really good. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Our room was big and solid, though it felt dated. The village itself wasn't very cozy, much like the other Norwegian places I've seen so far.

The area was incredibly quiet, and the location was great. Staff were friendly, and we had a very nice breakfast the next morning. The bed was comfy enough and did the job. But there’s no elevator or air conditioning, so getting luggage up the narrow stairs is a workout. We arrived around 21:00 on Saturday and everything nearby was closed, so dinner was just snacks. There was no hot water either, which meant no shower.

After a long hike, my girlfriend and I arrived at 22:50 without having booked anywhere. Reception was already closed, but the staff were incredibly kind and found us a single room, then even brought in an extra bed. We badly needed the rest. Breakfast was very good, and that short stay brought us back to life. Can't recommend them enough.

The town is small and peaceful, with Songne fjords right in front of the hotel and a Kiwi supermarket nearby. But getting around the building means carrying your things up stairs, since there are three floors and no elevator. It was hot and humid, with no air conditioning, so I left the windows open all night. My room was above the kitchen and smelled of food for a long time. The bed was old and uncomfortable. Staff warned me at check-in that opening the bathroom door after a shower could set off the very sensitive fire alarm.

The view of the fjord was spectacular, and the welcoming staff at reception helped us with directions. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was wonderful, though pricey at 700 NOK. Breakfast was decent, neither great nor awful. The hotel has an 80s feel, and the room does too. It needs renovation, and the shower looked like something from a horror movie. There aren't many options around here, so we settled for this one. I think most rooms have a fjord view.
