The room was comfortable and the atmosphere was nice. There’s also a kitchen guests can use, plus a living room and play area, though we didn’t use those.

I thought the breakfast was excellent, with a huge amount of choice. I’ve seen some reviews describe it unfairly. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little dated, and the bathroom/wetroom layout is slightly awkward since the floor often gets wet. That’s easy enough to deal with, and it wouldn’t put me off. My stay was otherwise very comfortable.

The customer service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, and we got good advice on where to eat and what to see around town. Our room was clean and comfortable, with an incredible view. The hotel could use a bit of a refresh, but don’t let that stop you staying there.

There’s a wonderful view over the fjord, and the common rooms are nice places to play games, dance or socialize if that’s your thing. The corridors and rooms have beautiful old items and pictures, thoughtfully designed.

We loved the view from our room, and the fjord views nearby are amazing. The location is great, and the breakfast spread is top notch.
