The best thing here is how easy it is to get to Bergen Centrum. We paid 240kr a night for one tent, and the site was about what you’d expect for a pretty cheap campsite. There wasn’t much space, and our tent spot sloped. A party next door on both nights made it hard to fall asleep. With so many guests and not many facilities, we sometimes had to queue, and the toilets weren’t especially clean. There’s a little kitchen with an oven and microwave, but no pots, so plan for that. We called the “common room” the prison because that’s how it felt sitting in there, though it was still good to have somewhere warm. The young worker was lovely and helpful. We found the owner rude, and heard him arguing with other guests.

The cabin was very clean, and the staff were really nice. It’s a quiet neighborhood, and I slept well. The light train is close by. I imagine the people staying in camper vans are happy with their stay too.

We spent two nights here in our campervan, so I can’t speak to the rooms. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. I did find myself wishing there were more toilets, since we had to queue a couple of times. The hair-drying sockets and mirror should be moved somewhere outside the toilet. There’s a big dining room where some space could be used for these changes. Getting into Bergen is easy, either by bus or by walking to the tram.

The site is pretty basic and not especially cozy, but it works fine as a stop for a camper. Parking, toilets and showers were very clean, and there’s drinking water, a grey water outlet, a kitchen and other useful facilities. It’s well placed for visiting Bergen, with great public transport connections. The tourist sites take about 45 to 55 minutes to reach.
