We were staying in one of the cabins across the street, not at the hotel, but came over for lunch with a group of 13. The staff were so polite, and the food arrived incredibly fast, all of us served within about 10 minutes. Everything was really good. We tried grilled chicken, a farmer's sandwich, fish soup, chicken pita and pasta, a bacon cheeseburger, brucheta, kjøttkaker, dirty fries, and apple cake with vanilla ice cream. The place has a full bar, and eating out back gives you a great view. It's a cool, old-school Norwegian hotel with a cozy feel, and a great choice nearby if you want a quick, high-quality meal.

The rooms were clean, and the back has a lovely view with horses. Hiking trails are close by, and after a day out the hotel is a great spot to relax with a beer and watch the sunset. The restaurant serves excellent local food, there's a good beer selection, and the view is beautiful. Breakfast is fantastic, especially for something included. Service was excellent throughout. The team were friendly and accommodating, and Andreas looked after us with a warmth and personable manner I rarely come across.

Prices are a little steep, though the location makes sense of that. I especially liked the excellent bruschetta, and the filter coffee was good too.

The food is great, the view is lovely, and the accommodation is nice. But there's basically no soundproofing in the rooms. You can hear the flies down the hall having a farting contest, enough to get annoyed by them.
