Even in the off-season, we felt very welcome at this great site run by a really nice family. They even helped us get our camper started in the very low temperatures. We’ll definitely be back in spring!

There’s beautiful scenery all around this classic property, which has more than 200 years of history and has been kept true to its character. The rooms are a little apart from the reception and restaurant building. Breakfast was a small spread, but nice.

The food was the best we had in Norway, especially the meatballs, and the young manager gave great service. We really enjoyed the memorabilia on the walls. The rooms seem to have been remodeled recently and are very nice. This place is a real gem, and I’m so glad we got to stay.

It was dirty, with cleaning happening rarely. The place is old and poorly maintained, and constant traffic noise comes from the nearby main road.

We found a spot by the river, with a pleasant view, though the traffic noise was quite loud. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, plenty of plates and cutlery, a coffee maker, microwave, egg cooker and fridge. The reception had a lovely rustic 1820s style, and the receptionist was very friendly.
