Steinsnes NAF Camping

The cottage had a sofa, TV, table and chairs, a fully stocked kitchen with the basics, and even its own shower, bathroom, and cleaning supplies. For a small extra fee, we got fluffy, super clean bedding. I expected a bare-bones camping cottage, so this was much more than I had in mind. The site was quiet, with no car noise and no sound from other guests. There's a beautiful stream across the lot, and ocean fishing is a 10-minute drive away. We also found some surprisingly great local restaurants. Kids have mini golf, a huge sand play area for little ones, and an indoor hangout for older kids.

I've stayed in a different cabin each year. The May 2025 one had its own shower and commode, and was clean, spotless, and well worth it. Management is amazingly friendly. In May 2024, the bathroom facilities were spotless and spacious. The first cabin was cozy, warm, and plenty big. I usually tent camp, but it was too windy and cold that time of year. The owners gave exceptional service.

Cabins 8-11 sit in a great spot by the river. Other cabins might get some traffic noise, even though the road is small. The cabin was tidy, with a comfortable, clean bed. I'd give it 3-4 stars on its own, but 5 for the price. Friendly service. The picture is through the cabin window.

We stayed one night and would come back. The river makes noise, which didn't bother us, but might bother you. It's a cute camping site right by a river in town, with clean facilities in good shape and very friendly staff.
