Hustadvika Guesthouse

The coastal trails are right by the hotel, and the nearby hikes and caves are breathtaking. We loved cooling off in the sea after the sauna, especially since the water felt warmer than the air outside the bay. The views are stunning too. Everyone made us feel welcome, from the friendly, helpful front desk team to the kitchen staff. Duffy from the pub was fantastic and gave us so many ideas for places to visit that we're already planning to return next year. We stayed at Hustadvika Classic Hotel yesterday and absolutely loved it.

I was here for just one night in early June with a tour group of 18, and immediately wished I could stay a week. The quiet inlet looked beautiful from our private balcony, and you can walk out on the rocks to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. My room was spacious and the bed VERY comfortable. Staff were kind and helpful too. When I spilled my Coke, they cleaned it up quickly and with a smile. I'd make a point of coming back.

We chose the dinner option and had the best meal of our whole trip in Norway. The people around you during your stay couldn't be nicer, either. Hustadvika Havhotell is charming, and the view is hard to beat. Our toilet seat was loose, but they fixed it in no time. Excellent stay!

We had a comfortable room for two with its own sea-view balcony, and spent two wonderful nights in a quiet, beautiful location. The nesting seagulls do make some noise, I suppose that's part of having grass-roofed buildings. Breakfast was very good, with a good choice of freshly prepared food, warm fresh bread, and cereal without nuts. The sauna was lovely, with sea views and the option to dip in the water afterwards. It has separate changing rooms and entrances, though it's one sauna with a partial dividing wall. A couple of things could be better. I had to work, and the room had no desk. There's a shelf, but it's high, and the chair can't be adjusted, so it gets uncomfortable after a while. The Nespresso machine was great, and the capsules were replenished. There was no kettle, though, and the machine's hot water didn't make a hot enough cup of tea.
