The room, bed, and bathroom were clean, and the staff were helpful and nice. But the place feels well past its prime, with only some areas renovated or modernized. The gloomy Good Vibes Only neon sign felt out of place. Through the door to the hallway you can hear whatever is going on outside, and the balcony looks toward Norway’s more industrial side. Breakfast was decent overall, though they were down to toast with two hours still left before it ended.

I was here recently for work at a local shipyard, and would happily stay again. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was nice, and the breakfast buffet was great. My room had a balcony and a stunning view, and there’s even a gym on the third floor.

I spent 10 days here as a quarantine hotel after entering Norway. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to look after me. Food was brought to the room regularly, always hot and plentiful. The room was large and had a great view, plus a balcony where you can smoke. There’s a modern TV in each room, adjustable heating, and a bathroom with both a tub and a shower.

The rooms had an outstanding view of the fjord, and we were lucky to get amazing weather. I was here for a couple of work-related nights. The location was fine, near a small mall and a couple of pubs, and I’d come back if I could. The first night we arrived after dinner service, but an attendant kindly got each of us a pizza. On another day, though, we asked for dinner at the restaurant and didn’t get it. I think we were 15 minutes before closing. The waitresses didn’t even bother to tell us it was closed.

A bit old, but the hotel was really clean. The rooms have amazing views, lovely to sit and enjoy a morning coffee.
