The bar and restaurant staff were excellent, and breakfast and the location were the only real positives for me. But management, especially John and Ruth, were unhelpful and close to rude. I emailed them several times during the week before our stay to confirm booking details and got no reply. When we needed the arrangements we’d requested for my disabled father, they treated us like a nuisance. Despite being told about his disability, they put him downstairs with no lift, far from both reception and the restaurant. The hotel felt run down. The pool had dirty floors and changing rooms, plus broken tiles. Rooms are basic, dated, and the family rooms are tiny, so the price certainly isn’t for a nice room. If there were other hotels nearby, I wouldn’t recommend this one. I’d much rather stay at tjorhom, where it’s basic but half the price and the staff are pleasant and helpful. I assume the problem was management.

The room had what I needed for my stay, and the service was nice. The location is good, right by a ski trekk. Still, the hotel is OK rather than anything special, and very expensive even by Norwegian standards.

We had beautiful long hikes in the mountains during our early autumn visit. The hotel is cosy and has some nice features, though it could use a bit of updating. Service was good, and the staff were friendly. The location seems great, probably perfect in winter.

My room felt a little old, but it was clean and I slept well. Breakfast had nice choices, and the burger and fries were great. Everyone we met, at the front desk and in the pub and restaurant, was welcoming and friendly.

The bath was dirty and only lukewarm, and the ladder creaked. There was mold and a smell. The saunas wouldn’t heat up, so the ‘Spa’ really wasn’t up to snuff.
