We’ve stayed here before and will come back. It’s good value for families and handy for some good skiing in April. The cabins are well maintained and conveniently located, as long as you’re not after a five-star hotel. We booked the newer “superior” cabin. It doesn’t have a covered outdoor area, but the view was wonderful. The older cabins offer more kitchen space, though we managed to cook for 10 in ours just fine.

I’ve stayed here twice this year with my family and would love to visit again. The cabins are cozy and warm, with very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The beds and kitchen were very nice. There’s a fridge, dishwasher, sauna, bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and Wi-Fi. We did bump our heads on the ceiling a few times, and some things are broken. More bedroom shelving would be useful.

We got a good price for a hotel with this rating and location. The room was a good size and had a nice walk-in shower, and breakfast was included and very good. The hotel is well run, in a perfect location, and has a great atmosphere. The reception team were all friendly and helpful, well done to them.

We took the train from Oslo, which was an easy and pleasant trip. If you do the same, book a taxi ahead of time. Just Google Geilo taxi, let the message run, and it’ll call you back. Their English is perfect. The hytten are clean, warm, and well appointed, making this a smashing little spot for a self-catering ski holiday. There was loads of snow until the kids got hold of it. This side of the resort is great for beginners and intermediates, and regular buses get advanced skiers to the other side of town quickly.
