The rooms were clean, though the furniture looked old and well worn, and the beds weren't especially comfortable. Breakfast was okay, but much poorer than at the other hotels we stayed in during our Norway trip. The location is great, but our early arrival went badly: an hour before check-in, the receptionist was mean and disrespectful, saying the room wasn't ready and she wasn't even sure it would be by check-in because she had many customers. There’s no alcohol or bar, so an evening drink with that amazing water view isn't an option.

The toilet plumbing was very poor. Breakfast was disappointing too: there wasn't enough choice for all the guests, and by the time I got there, many items had run out and weren't replaced. It felt badly managed and made for a poor start to what should have been a relaxing day.

Dinner and breakfast weren't great, with very little to choose from at the buffet. The view is great if your room is on the water side. The hotel does the job, but that's about it.

Tranquil and simple, and the location is everything here. I would stay again. The room and the food are basic, which I'm not complaining about. Breakfast starts at 8am, but I was long gone by then. There's a food store 100m down the road.

There isn't much to see or do nearby. My room was clean, though dated. Reception isn't staffed all the time, so you need to ring the bell on the counter to get service. I'd ring it hard and keep ringing for a while.
