The food is exquisite, with most ingredients sourced locally, and the chef is a magician. Staff are extremely friendly. Sole sits right on the shore of the Krøderen fiord, making it a popular spot for celebrations and special days. It's both a hotel and an event venue, and popular enough that you need to book well ahead for an event. Hotel rooms, though, are usually available. Originally an old farm, it was converted into a guest house a long time ago. In Norway, a guest house can mean anything from a cheap, ramshackle motel to a gem like Sole. "Gjestegård" in the name usually points to high quality and memorable experiences. Highly recommended! ❤️👌

The grounds and scenery are stunning, and the hotel has a good breakfast and a sauna. Rooms are basic. It's a lovely place to stay within a short drive of Norefjell ski resort.
