The staff were all lovely, and breakfast was really nice. I can see the hotel being really nice when everything is in full bloom, but during our visit, substantial building work spoiled our suite. We couldn’t use the balcony, and scaffolding interrupted the view.

A great first stop on a Norway road trip, with comfortable beds, nice views, a good breakfast, and pub dinner. Staffing was minimal, which was the only letdown, though it was a national holiday.

This was a perfect stopover between Bergen and the rest of our fjord driving tour. We really enjoyed the spacious room and its nice view. The pub food was just right, with another beautiful view, and breakfast was fabulous.

It’s a handy spot to stop on a road trip, but I wouldn’t make it a destination. The hotel and rooms felt old and a bit outdated. On a very hot night, the windows wouldn’t open and the fan was broken, so there wasn’t much air circulation and it affected my stay. Breakfast was sufficient but had few options. I don’t think I’d recommend it.

We had dinner at the restaurant, and everything was five stars. The rooms were great and clean, the view amazing, and breakfast delicious. I’d recommend staying here!
