Solstrand Camping

The staff were very kind and helpful, and everything was clean and nice. I was travelling alone as an adult, and my room had a bunk bed with an upper and lower berth, plus a sink for washing up. Toilets and showers were in the hall and shared with the other guests there. What makes me unsure about coming back is the noise. Kids were running around, people were loud, and doors kept slamming every minute until 01:30 in the morning. It was cheap and sort of like camping, sure, but I’d still expect guests to be more considerate. Hmm... you get what you pay for.

It’s a very peaceful campsite, though there isn’t much to do there. The grounds are nice and the Wi-Fi is good, and the staff were friendly. Having a charging station for electric cars is a big bonus. It’s a shame that it’s clearly a Christian campsite in the south of Norway, with things like Bible camps. One thing I noticed is that elderly guests get a discount, while disabled people don’t.

Solstrand Camping was pleasant enough and reasonably clean, considering how many people were there. The staff were pleasant, and Marcus really stood out as a diplomat. The site was far too crowded, though. Campers should have to stay in their allocated spots instead of parking wherever they like. Some ended up blocking people who were following the rules. The children were delightful, happy, and laughing, so there was plenty of entertainment.

A very nice campsite with a pretty view and lots for kids. There’s a small shop and a little buffet in the evening. The toilets and showers were clean and fine, although at the usual busy times you sometimes had to wait. You can get fresh water and electricity, and book your spot online in advance.
