Frya Leir

The owner, an immigrant Frenchman who also speaks English, really works hard to make guests feel at home. We had a simple but tasty evening meal prepared to order when we asked, and breakfast was more than enough. The shared room was clean and had a kitchen, refrigerators, and a microwave. The sanitary facilities were fine too, and there’s even a washing machine. The rooms and location are what you’d expect from a former army ammunition depot, the military base atmosphere is still there.

We were here while volunteering in Kvitfjell and had a great time. The apartments are a little old, but perfectly fine for a stay. Breakfast and dinner were amazingly delicious, and the owner is the kindest person I’ve ever met. I highly recommend the place!

We stayed here for a couple of days while volunteering at the Kvitfjell Worldcup and had a really good time. The facilities are a bit old, but have everything you need and are more than adequate for a few nights. We felt very warmly welcomed, and the owner was incredibly kind. They moved rooms around so my friends and I could stay in the same building, and even arranged a vegetarian dinner option for us. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. I’d happily come back any time :)

We spent one night at Frya Leir in mid October. It was cold, so we had breakfast in the kitchen. The campsite has lots of space and trees, and I’d definitely recommend it. The owner made us feel welcome and even turned up the heat in the washroom so I could enjoy a nice shower. The water was hot and the pressure was great.
