The breakfast was a real highlight, especially the tasty eggs and bacon, and the very kind lady made sure our stay went smoothly. We had a clean room, fresh sheets, and comfortable beds, so our one night on the way back to The Netherlands was peaceful and restful. It's a lovely place and deserves more guests. It was almost empty when we stayed, which was the only disappointing part.
Road 40 was still closed just before the hotel, so anyone arriving from the south via Kongsberg will need to take a short detour. Once we got there, though, everything was great value for money. We were four people, and the sofa had already been made into a bed when we arrived. The room was clean, all the beds were really comfortable, and the woman running the hotel was helpful and friendly. Breakfast came with eggs and bacon, too.
The staff were nice, and the setting among nature was well placed. The rooms are simple.
A peaceful, restful place, with good beds.
