Fjærland Fjordstove Hotell - Huseby Hotelldrift AS

The owner told us about the area's history and gave us great recommendations that added a lot to our trip. The hotel sits right on the fjord, with breathtaking scenery and a warm, welcoming feel. It was the best experience of our Norway trip, and we'd choose it again if we return to the area.

It's an old hotel, and the rooms are small by modern standards. Still, the owners and staff put a lot of care into making it cozy and beautiful, and their dedication showed in the excellent service at breakfast, dinner, and throughout our stay. The charm of the decor and the location more than made up for the room size. Fjordstove Hotel is lovely and unique, tucked away in a remote spot with a stunning fjord backdrop. The restaurant and lounge have amazing views. Booking the hot tub was absolutely worth it. We sat in the rain looking out over the misty fjord, and it felt magical. Since the location is remote, accommodating last-minute dietary needs or strong preferences can be difficult. Let them know ahead of time.

The staff were lovely, welcoming, and very helpful, and the food was delicious. Dinner is set, though they thoughtfully made a vegetarian alternative for my daughter. It's a small, stunning hotel right on the fjord, with gorgeous views in every direction. I'd love to come back.

We had a very fine dinner at the hotel restaurant, then wandered around the village. It was midsummer night, and watching the farmers bale hay at 10 pm was fun. Many of the book stalls stayed open at night. The hotel is charming and old, in a rather out-of-the-way location.
