This was the worst check-in experience I've ever had. I had a reservation for September 2025 and arrived at 2pm. Their email said, “welcome, we will be open from 700a - 800p,” but the place was locked, dark, and empty, with no door open. I knocked and waited. Around 4pm, a waiter from the restaurant next door let me in, then called someone. A woman cycled over, but said she didn't work at the hotel either. I asked her to call someone who did. I'd already paid for the night, and it was too late to cancel. Eventually someone named Anna answered. When I asked why nobody was there to check me in, or why the hotel wasn't even open, she kept saying, “we are a boutique hotel,” as if that excused the incompetence and unprofessional behavior. Anna started berating me and asking why I was “interrupting her” while she rambled on. I said I'd been waiting for three hours, wanted to check in, and was upset that no one was there. She asked what I wanted to do, but didn't offer to come help with check-in. The experience had been so unpleasant that I said I'd rather cancel and go somewhere else if she would refund me. She told me, “TAKE YOUR THINGS, LEAVE THE KEY, AND GET OUT,” even though I hadn't checked in and didn't have the keys yet. Anna, I'm surprised you work in hospitality, especially at a “boutique” hotel. You are awful. By the way, I'm still waiting for the refund. Avoid this place.

The rooms are cozy, and the hotel is only 350m from Stamsund Habour, which is really convenient. There's a Thai chef making pretty good Asian food. Best of all, the aurora view right outside the hotel entrance is stunning.

We went out on a RIB boat to explore the area, spot the very big sea eagles, and find a place to collect crabs and cook them. Joining the crab safari was such an amazing experience! The scenery is beautiful, and the town is quiet 🥰

We came across this hotel through its RIB crab safari and were impressed by how welcoming, friendly, and attentive the staff were. We stopped for dinner, and they adjusted the meal to our preferences. The safari was arranged thoughtfully, and they also gave us helpful tips for seeing the northern lights. A lovely experience. Special thanks to the male staff member who went out of his way to take care of everything my family needed. I'm sorry I didn't get your name, but I'll remember you. Highly recommended!

There's a Coop supermarket nearby, and Havila cruises stop at the pier right in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely, and breakfast was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to Asian tourists.
